A pet’s ability to tolerate cold temperatures varies by: the thickness of their fur, their overall health, and how active they are. Pets with a lower tolerance to cold may need to wear a jacket/sweater to offer extra protection. Walks may need to be shortened, especially for arthritic patients, during the cold winter months.Pets can get frostbite too. During the coldest winter days, limit outdoor activity to prevent cold related injuries.
