Lumps and Bumps on your Pet

I can’t tell you how many cats and dogs I have seen during my forty plus years of being a veterinarian at our Pet Hospitals in Blaine and Coon Rapids for a 2nd opinion that the clients previous vet told them “Let’s just watch it” without performing any diagnostics. I’ve had cancer patients die after their first veterinarian told the owners repeatedly that the bump was nothing – without doing any testing such as a fine needle aspirate or biopsy. If your pet wasn’t born with it, we need to figure out what it is. We’re not going to think it’s cancer until we have a diagnosis. With proper diagnostics we can tell you if your pet has a benign or malignant lesion.
